Pumps that do not need a routine strip-down
Generation 2 puts the current pumps and sensors in the handler cabinet. The main circulation pump is a multistage roots pump, so there is no scheduled oil change on that stage.

Generation 2
An installed generation-1 handler can be taken out and replaced with generation 2. The visit includes the new cabinet, the control unit, a temperature controller, and a test cooldown.
The upgrade removes the generation-1 control unit and gas handler and fits the generation-2 cabinet in their place. Older frames then use the current software and the maintenance-free circulation pump. Options on the new cabinet are chosen before the visit.
01
Generation 2 puts the current pumps and sensors in the handler cabinet. The main circulation pump is a multistage roots pump, so there is no scheduled oil change on that stage.
The same software used on new frames runs on the upgraded handler: cooldown, logs, and the temperature view, without keeping the old control unit.
The cabinet is built so extra modules can be added for the room and the experiment. The temperature controller is part of the upgrade, not a later extra.
02
The old control unit and handler come out as part of the service, not as a separate job.
The new cabinet, software, and temperature controller are installed and set for that frame.
The measurement system is cooled once before the visit ends, so the handler is checked on the real cryostat.
Health checks, training, and relocation sit on the services page. The generation-2 handler as it ships on new frames is described with the dilution systems.
